Black screen error in login when I upgraded my OS from windows 8 to windows 8.1 then all worked well. How To Fix Windows 8.1 Login Black Screen Error
Restart your PC from the login screen. You can do so by clicking on the power option from the login screen and then press [shift + (click on restart option)] from the login screen until it seems restarting.
It will send your PC directly to the advanced startup options menu. Now you have to select Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings.
Now restart your PC by clicking on restart button.
Now from the start settings menu, press 4 to “Enable Safe Mode“.
Finally login to your account to check if it is working or not.
