An office Bootstrapper error occurred when users upgrade office from old version of office. The Error says “Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has Stopped Working“. Temporary disable Firewall or other security programs.
Uninstall old version of Microsoft Office. If MS office not uninstall using control panel then downloads Microsoft Fix It Tool and use it to remove the old version of office.

Also many of installed programs, antivirus, utilities and other programs run on background. In Clean Boot, all background applications and services are disabled and there is no application, services, utilities run on background. So It’s called ‘Clean Boot’.
How To Perform Clean Boot In Windows 8/8.1
First open Search and type msconfig then open it.
Now in System Configuration click on Services tab.
On the Services tab, now click on Hide all Microsoft services to select all services, and then click on Disable all.
Now click on the Startup tab and click on Open Task Manager.
Now click on the Startup Tab in Task Manager, select one by one and disable all applications. Now close Task Manager.
In System Configuration, click on Ok and Restart your computer.
