The error says “Couldn’t Update to Windows 8.1” and also tells Sorry, we couldn’t complete the update to Windows 8.1. We’ve restored your previous version of Windows to this PC. Fix: Couldn’t Update to Windows 8.1 Error 0xc1900101-0x20017
→ Disable Windows Firewall or other security software before Windows 8.1 update, and then restart your computer. You can enable the firewall after the update is installed.
Reset Your Windows Store Cache
Follow Steps To Reset:
→ First open “Run” utility by pressing Win Logo + R and type WSReset.exe and click on Ok.
→ After finished now Restart your computer. This is also helpful for your internet connectivity problems.
Run following commands in Command Prompt (Admin)
→ Type “net stop wuauserv” in CMD (Admin) and Hit Enter.
→ After finished this command now Run second command.
→ Type “net stop bits” and hit Enter. Now Exit CMD.
→ Now first update your Windows 8 drivers and make your Windows 8 up to date. Also complete latest updates from action center in control panel.
→ Now Remove other devices like printer, mouse and other devices and Restart your PC.
→ Now it’s time to Update Windows 8.1.
