USB ports are the only one that will help you to connect other devices to your pc but when USB doesn’t work you will get angry easily so here are some easy 5 tips to Fix that out and cool yourself down.
So let’s start from the easiest way.

Fix 1: Restart your computer
In most of the cases restarting the computer will solve the USB ports issue easily. If it not Fixes than go for next Fix.
Fix 2: Clear CMOS
To do this open up your computer cabinet and look for the little tiny cell (battery) near the PCIe or near the memory ports or above the SATA ports. Just take it out for 5 minutes and reinsert it. (Do this with caution). By doing this it will clear CMOS memory and may help to Fix USB problem.
Fix 3: Checking power supply (PSU) connections
If your Power supply connections are not fitted correctly than USBs may not work properly. Just open up your cabinet and check for the ATX connector. Reinsert it properly and clean dust if possible. Check all other cables on the motherboard and be sure fitted properly and firmly tight.
Fix 4: Checking USB Ports Current Availability
By checking this will insure that your USB devices are getting proper current or not.
Step 1: Right click on ‘’My Computer’’ and click on ‘’Manage’’
Step 2: Now open up Device manager.
Step 3: Now head over to ‘’universal serial bus controllers’’ and open it up.
Step 4: Now open every generic USB hub and USB root hub check for the available power like shown on the image below. If there is no available power than USB will not work properly. Reinserting power cables in the motherboard, disconnecting other high wattage USB devices will solve the issue. IF not than change whole USB port will solve the issue.
Fix 5: Reinstall or update USB drivers
This is easiest way to solve the USB issue if your device drivers are corrupted. If you have received driver CD than find USB controllers drivers from it and install them. Or find the latest drivers from the internet.
Example: If your motherboard manufacturer is INTEL then go to Intel website and find for the “USB 3.0 EXTENSIBLE HOST CONTROLLER‘’ Drivers and reinstall it and restart your computer.
Tips: If above Fixes not works than you can try to change USB ports, If your USB is on the front panel than try to change whole USB combo. Check for the rusty USB ports and replace them.
