Fix 1: Updating AHCI Controller driver
Updating the AHCI controller driver will make sure that all latest software on your PC will flawlessly communicate with SATA Device.
Go to your motherboard or laptop manufacturer website search for the latest AHCI controller drivers and download them. It is very less in size. Before doing this uninstall old one first. After installing latest driver just restart your PC. And it’s done. If still problem is there than go for the next step.
Fix 2: Scanning your PC with RUN SFC Command

Fix 4: Checking hard drive for errors
Hard drives errors are commonly occur when power cuts suddenly during hard disk activity. And the HDD sector damages. So repairing it is necessary for error less work environment. Here are the steps.
Step 1: Open “My computer” and right click on the “C drive”, Go to properties.
Step 2: Go to Tools and click check. Click yes if UAC asks for the permission.
Step 3: Now, click “scan now” to scan drive for the errors. Do this for all drives.
Note: Some of the errors are irreversible like sector errors etc. So, buying a new HDD will help.
