Here I fixed the error code or DNS PROBE FINISHED BAD CONFIG in Google Chrome. I have received the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error when accessing my website wiknix.com as shown as below image. When I tried to open my website or any other websites like Google.com or Facebook.com, its say “This webpage is not available” error code “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG”. In details, its say there is the problem with DNS or misconfigured network settings. So I tried many experiments on this problem and some of the tricks are solved the DNS problems and errors. So follow below solutions to fix DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error on Google Chrome or other browsers.
Solution 1: Turn OFF Router for 1 Minutes
Turn off your router or wireless device for 1 minutes (also remove plug from power supply) and then Turn ON router again. (This solution is resolve your most of DNS problems).
Solution 2: Using CMD (Command Prompt)
One of the working solution for DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error in Google Chrome.
Open CMD (Command Prompt) as Administrator – Command Prompt (Admin).
Now RUN below commands one by one.
netsh int ip set dns
netsh winsock reset
That’s it. Now Restart your PC, then check your internet.
Solution 3: Change the DNS Address
Right click on the network icon and click “Open Network and Sharing Center“. Then click “Change adapter settings” (top left side).
Right click on working network connection (WiFi, LAN, Ethernet, etc.) and click Properties.
Now select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click Properties.
Select Use the following DNS server addresses and add below IP addresses.
Preferred DNS Server: 220.127.116.11
Alternate DNS Server: 18.104.22.168
That’s it, now check your Internet connection.
