Hard drive not detected in Windows 8.1 and Windows 8. I was recently update Windows 8 to 8.1 and my second hard drive not found. After update Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, my second partition local disk not found. There only three partition available but before there was 4 partition in Windows 8. After upgrade to Windows 8.1, my one 140GB partition not found and not detected. Second partition not detected in Windows 8.1. After working on this issue, finally I got a solution. How To Fix Hard drive Not Detected In Windows 8.1/8
Right click on My Computer/ My PC and click Manage.
Click Disk Management and find your lost drive.
Now Right click on your lost drive and click Change Drive Letter and Path.
Now select drive and click Change.
Now select any letter and click OK. That’s it.
